A late 1997 design, The NORTHCREEK
160™ makes a nice size canoe for solo and tandem paddlers!
It features a "fuller" bow & stern with the hull designation
being a round bottom (low initial stability), rather than a shallow arch type.
Designed to be paddle from a wide-stance kneeling position for best handling
characteristics and stability, the experienced canoeist will find this a
responsive & lively craft.

It will please the frequent visitor to lazy rivers and creeks, and can be as
much a joy to paddle on "quiet" water too!
Looking for a nice sized, sport handling canoe? Take a look at the NORTHCREEK
160™.

stripping.

Note: The plans assume you are thoroughly familiar with the actual construction process of a Cedar Strip Canoe using epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth. Although it includes our generously illustrated Building Hints packet, it does not include "step by step" instructions. For first time builders, we highly recommend BUILDING A STRIP CANOE (Revised Edition), by Gil Gilpatrick [DeLorme Publishing, ISBN 0-89933-026-6].
